GOOD SATURDAY MORNING

The time is 00.007 a very early morning of the 29th december 2007. Am still awake! Just finish the household chores after my chums left.

I like my cutlery are in place when i wake up in the morning. But before i go to snooze off, I just want to say the world! GOOD MORNING & HOPE EVERYBODY CHILL OUT FOR THE WEEK-END---

FriendS came for dinner

Today, my friends we're at my place to have chitchat & have some pinoy foods. We gathered here tonight as one of my girl & her daughter we're leaving on sunday bound to Mla.
What a luck! Arrive Mla. on the 31st of December? Hmmm...a timing to celebrate the New Year in the Philippines with their whole family around them. Jealous man ko no?

Anyway, Rosalina, Choy, Day, Jenny, Tess, Lalaine,Vivian, Isabel & the lil lady Michelle hopefully enjoyed in my humble crib.

Dinner consist of: Sinigang, Palabok & Tiger shrimps w/ green & red capsicum for main course.

Welcome drink: Red orange juice, Nectar & orange juice free of choice if they want to mix a lil vodka.

Dessert: Fruit cocktail in skimmilk, choco rolls, choice of special finnish chocolates, dades & some healthy dried fruits dipped into light choco.

Just so simple but palatable tucker, though!

NEW YEAR FINal COUNTDOWN

I guess all of us were waiting to the final countdown to the NEW YEAR 2008!
Today, Dec. 27, 2007, it's 4 days, 4 hours 47 minutes and 45 seconds, to the new year, a time I'm writing this issue.
I was thinking who/what's the country who'll celebrate the new year first. I was really pretty sure that it is Fiji, Port Vila or Vanuatu Island who will be the first country who will first welcome yr 2008, but i was mistaken. Christmas Island??? where the ???? is that island? Well, this is somewhere downunder eh? They celebrate the NY at 10.00 am European time. The 2nd is an island in NZ, then NZ itself, 4th is Fiji & 5th is Australia who celebrate at 13 hrs.
Philippines celebrate at 16.00 hrs our time!!!

EXHAUSTED!

Yeah! Christmas Eve was over. All gifts were opened and all cooking's & baking's were over too.

What a relief that all this things are over. I was a bit of a lazy lady (host) this year as i undergo a chemical facial treatment that i don't really feel doing extra work this christmas.

Though this treatment isn't that complicated but i feel & look horrible. I didn't regret a bit doing this treatment during this season. Hopefully, on New Year's eve, i look normal.

It was soooo funny that my grandson, wondered how his "lola" look! He's been asking what was in my face, that it seems so plasty §:-)

Sa ka kakulang og oras, wala jud ka panahon aning giingon nga blog.
Anyway, am just round the corner having my family gathered together and it's such a nice moments that kids were home. Although Christmas in Sweden isn't that we are keen what use to do in the Philippines, we adjusted and modified the Christmas here. Family who prays & gather stays together.
Just simple was my Christmas Eve then I went to bed w/ a sweet smile in my face.
Thanks Lord for having a such nice kids and giving us the good life and good health.

Vintersolståndet? Am not sure the right word in English but I will try to explain in my own words, though.

This year’s vintersolståndet (shortest day ) is on the 22^nd of December – it means that it’s the SUN (sol) shortest declination i.e. that the sun stands the lowest in the northern horizon or at the northern half of the equator. It dislocates scarcely 6 hours onwards every normal year & 18 hours backwards every leap year- & it falls every 4 years. 2008 is a leap year.

It means that we have one day more on February, that'll be 29th!!!

About 2 weeks later, the earth be laying so close to the sun.

Well, the northern part of the equator can feel this happens whilst in south, we're not keen of this coz we only have 2 seasons.

So , for us whatever may feel across our path? We appreciate it. More naturally and for us? More simple.

TALKING SEX TO MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER!!!

I’m having this delicate topic due to the reason that my young daughter is growing to be a young lady. She’s going to turn sweet 16 on April. Everybody knows that this age is complicated, lots of experimenting unbelievable & stupid things.

One day, she came to me and confessed that very moment that she have a boyfriend. My hearts beats so fast. WORRIED?

I start to planned what to say and what to do therefore I share some of my thoughts. This might help my blog readers who are parents and have daughters.

As my daughter develops into a young adult, she may start asking questions that I didn’t dare asking my mother in my teen days It’s isn’t easy having a daughter specially nowadays. Before my daughter misinformed by her teenage friends, she needs to be given an accurate information about sex from me. Do I dare to give her information what she needs?

A little bit confused and embarrassed.mum. Anyway, my relation to my daughter is good. It's natural to feel embarrassed at first. I’d been working through my biggest fear. My mom never talked to me about this.

Both me and my daughter have an open book. I used to tell her all the examples I been through like in my days…blah…blah” but hey! Those were the days. I realized that the more you’re keeping our children, the more they get rebels. The most important thing when you talk about sex is that you don't say that this is anything other than healthy and normal, we need to explain that this is something that has to be agreed in a relationship after they’ve grown up and there's love and commitment and an understanding that they have to be responsible with their bodies.

Mothers should be primarily responsible for this topic, I may presume and dads can be available for moral support, but WE moms should do the heavy lifting.
